MaxComm has been involved in environmental projects since its creation and today announced the launch of the Maritime Transport Efficiency Conference (MTEC), which will take place on 18 and 19 May 2020 at the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva. The objective of this conference is to bring together the main actors in maritime transport and researchers involved in a way to improve the energy efficiency of ships. The MTEC conference will allow them to discover and discuss technological innovations and create a positive dynamic around sustainability issues, with the objective of improving their environmental balance and reducing operating costs.
Energy efficiency is a current subject since on 1 January 2020 the new international maritime organisation (IMO) regulations will enter into force to significantly reduce sulphur oxide emissions from ships. Other binding regulations will come into force in 2030 and 2050, and require a change in current technologies and ways of thinking.
MTEC will be a unique and exceptional event. Registrations are open.
