Founder and CEO of MaxComm, Bernard Schopfer has 20 years of experience within media, television, sponsorship and event management. After obtaining a diploma in Political Science in the University of Geneva, he worked as a journalist with some of Switzerland’s most important media, including the national television, covering amongst others two Olympic Games and numerous world championships (alpine skiing, cyclism, rowing, curling, sailing…). He also spent three years in the Middle and Far East as a reporter.
In 2000 he is employed as Communication Manager of Team Alinghi; he is a member of the winning team of the 31st America’s Cup In Auckland (NZL). He then went on to become the Communications Manager for the Ericsson Racing Team during the 2005-06 Volvo Ocean Race, before founding MaxComm in August 2006.
Vincent Gillioz joined MaxComm in 2007. He is a freelance journalist and an external collaborator of the agency. Vincent regularly works with some of Switzerland’s most renowned media, such as Bilan or Le Temps.
Vincent Gillioz is a qualified boatbuilder. He then got a degree in the University of Geneva in Geography, a European Master Degree in Environment and a specialization in energy from the polytechnic school in Lausanne (EPFL). Last but not least, Vincent has been a professional sailor for several years, participating amongst others in the Whitbread Round the World Race (now the Volvo Ocean Race) in 1989-90 onboard Merit with skipper Pierre Fehlmann. He also participated in five Tour de France à la voile, three times as skipper.
Vincent Gillioz is particularly concerned with environmental issues. He has been a scientific assistant in the energy department of the canton of Geneva during five years.
After taking a degree in physics and electronic at the University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble, Romain Richard decided to move to the field of communication which he likes in particular.
He was first recruited by MaxComm Communication in April 2007 as trainee, and soon got a full time job as head of informatics and new technologies. Thanks to his technical and graphic skills, he is now in charge of the conception and design of all kinds of supports, such as websites, brochures, flyers and other print supports. He also manages the offices databases and mailing tool.
Loriane Natalini joined MaxComm’s team as a press officer, in November 2010.
Having obtained a diploma in communication and marketing, Loriane worked previously in several fields including communication, direct marketing and as a secretary.
Loriane’s interpersonal and organizational skills are put to good use at MaxComm where she is responsible for updating client websites, managing client and media databases, editing and translating articles, media monitoring and carrying out many other essential tasks which ensure the efficient day to day running of a busy office.
